Update November 2018
Hi friends! Long time, no post! Life changes all the time and I'm entering a new blogging phase I guess! I took a long break! LOL!
Streaming has taken a turn also - since Ustream has taken away the free services - I have moved to YouTube for my live streams. I was streaming on Thursdays but that has proved impossible so it's Friday mornings again! BrenTangle channel. Fridays 9am CT (10am Est).
Please subscribe and don't forget to hit the bell for notifications in your email!
I have also opened an affiliation with Amazon and will be providing links to the fun stuff I use! Please help support my art by using my links!
See y'all Fridays!

Yahoo selling out to Verizon
I just got an email that Yahoo is selling out to Verizon. Yahoo owns Flickr - and this is where most of the photos on this blog are housed. Some (ie most) of the photos may vanish as I intend to delete my Yahoo account and all it's associates. Which means I am deleting all the photos I have in Flickr.
I am sorry about this, but it is increasing complicated to have photos appear on the internet with all the rules out there. You never know where your intellectual properties will end up! This is why I have not been posting many photos lately.
I will continue to use Facebook - for now - and also Instagram. Although my life is such now that I am concentrating on my health mostly and am not in social media very much anyway. Just not enough hours in a day!
I will be moving photos back into Ravelry as best I can because Flickr is where most of my knitting pics are! I will figure this all out.
Enjoy your Summer people! XO bren

DFW FiberFest Prep
Another year, and finally a new post! To say my life has been busy is an understatement! Wow. Most days fly by and if I didn't have my journal I'd be hard-pressed to remember what I've done. Currently, there is no "art" in the journal - just text - but it has been whispering to me to get out the paint and markers!
My once a year show - DFW FiberFest 2016 is April 1-3 this year and I'll be there the Thursday before setting up our booth. I don't know the number yet, but it's been in the same spot since the new convention center opened. My woodturner friend Fran will have her wonderful shawl pins and tools and I'll have handspun yarns, fiber and new knitting designs and kits!
So, it's crunch time! Spinning every day now and knitting too. Also when I take breaks from that, I'm working on my hexie quilt. My sketchbooks are pretty lonely and my art journals are whispering too but they will have to wait patiently until the show is over!

P.S.! Linkies to my other online stuff is over there -------->>>>

Adult Coloring - Awesome!
Color me Happy! Come join in the calm at Angie Grace's Adult Coloring Group on Facebook. [link]
I discovered "adult coloring" in late June of this year and thanks to a friend (TY V) joined Angie's FB group, saw her designs and YES! Just what I was looking for! Angie's books are so beautiful, well done and on Amazon! [link]
You won't find tons of free patterns posted in the group but, Angie does have a bunch on her website. Her "Sampler" book is wonderful to work in to find your "thing". It contains a page from all of her books (which vary in type of designs) and she posts update pages on her site you can download. [link]
What you will find in this group is inspiration galore! Tips on markers, pencils and organizing them too. This group has over 3,000 members and is growing every day!
So join me in the "zone" and color away YOUR stress!

Art Journaling Prompt Challenge
There seems to be some confusion about our art group's Art Journal Prompt Challenge so I thought I might be able to clear things up a bit by making a page here on my blog that I can also update as needs be.
Our Eileen proposed we do a weekly challenge using either the Mixed Media Inspiration Card Deck by Kiala Givehand or The Prompt List we as a group made up. The Challenge will go from Sunday to Saturday each week, 10 prompts to be used to complete a page/or whatever, photos to be posted to Twitter upon completion. Use #Eileenpromptchallenge on Twitter to allow everyone to find your page pics!
The list below is the Prompt List we, as a group, put together in Jean's Stream (MusicScrp) chatroom Monday April 14, 2014 - upon her suggestion. I will also post MY revised personal list in case you want to use that to revise your own list. (I do NOT like to heat emboss nor will I be drawing with feet! LOL!) Both lists can be updated as needed.
The lists can be printed out or copy/pasted. Random.org can be used to pick your prompt numbers or you can cut them apart and put in a container to draw from.
I think we all know who to "blame" for this latest challenge - uhhuhcoughbarb - uhhuhcoughETEE. LOL!
If anyone has anything to add to this blog post please let me know! And our thanks to Jean for the list idea!

Behind Again
Just a quick update - I have been dealing with a lot. A family member is gravely ill. I will have to try to catch up on things here and in life a bit later. I am trying! Art is there for me as always.
